Bindo Altoviti (1491–1556) was an Italian banker and a patron of the arts during the Renaissance. He came from a distinguished Florentine family and was educated in both humanistic and scientific disciplines. Bindo was a significant figure in the artistic world of his time and fostered close relationships with many renowned artists, including Raphael, who painted his famous portrait.
